Bilston Town Hall is the Talent Match Black Country Central Hub, This innovative new programme, funded through the Big Lottery Fund, offers personalised support to 18-24 years olds who have been out of employment or education for more than a year and who face significant barriers to finding training, work or self-employment opportunities. Talent Match is a national initiative running in twenty one UK areas; the project in the Black Country being the single largest funding area, with a total budget of more than  £10 Million to be spent over five years. Overseen by Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council, the project will employ over forty mentors in total and will engage and support over 1400 young people across its lifetime. The Central Hub facilitates work in Bilston, Darlaston, Willenhall, Stow Lawn and Heath Town, through our team of professional mentors, and in partnership with organisations including Wolverhampton Homes and Steps to Work, at the Darlaston Jet. Gazebo’s partners for the project include Wolverhampton Homes, Wolverhampton City College, the University of Wolverhampton Faculty of Arts (including the Arena Theatre), Heantun Housing, Timken Training, Higher Level, C3, Wates Living Space, the Youth Offending Team and Bullock Construction. The Central Hub has a dedicated Talent Match resource room, drop in facility and resources for digital music production, video filming and editing, graphic design, table tennis, fitness including mini trampoline, dance mats and fitness classes and photography.  We can offer a host of opportunities, including training and work experience in bar work, administration, theatre in education, film production, event management, wedding planning and technical management.  Through project partners, we also have a range of opportunities in areas including painting and decorating, hair and beauty and carpentry, from training and work experience, moving through to apprenticeships and jobs. Young people that engage with the hub can work with a dedicated mentor, to develop a personalised programme of activities, opportunities and training, as well as gain access to support in a wide range of areas.
